Voluntas Engine (VEE)

VEE is THE Intent Engine for TAI, providing RL-based intent classification using quantum-inspired mathematics. VEE uses RFS for context and learns optimal intent classification policies from user feedback. The system provides a single, well-defined policy for all routing/intent decisions in TAI with math-backed guarantees on accuracy (≥0.95), convergence, and stability. VEE implements both classical and quantum-inspired Q-functions, using quantum state evolution for exploration and continuous improvement through policy gradient updates.

Master Intent Classification Equation

VEE uses a master equation that combines query encoding, context encoding, and quantum-inspired state evolution to classify intent. The system uses both classical Q-functions and quantum-inspired Q-functions (using quantum state encoding) to optimize intent classification accuracy.

Reinforcement Learning

  • Reward Function: Combines routing, quality, performance, and Bell correlation rewards
  • Policy Gradient Update: Continuous improvement through policy gradient updates
  • Quantum-Inspired RL: Uses quantum state evolution for exploration
  • Continuous Improvement: Improves classification accuracy over time (target ≥ 0.95)

Invariants

  • Accuracy over time: P(VEE_Classify = true_intent) ≥ 0.95
  • Quantum-inspired but bounded: -1 ≤ Bell(s, a) ≤ 1
  • Convergence: Policy converges to optimal policy with exponential rate
  • Stability: Policy updates are bounded and stable
  • Exploration/exploitation balance: Maintains exploration while exploiting learned policy

Architectural Stack

  • State Encoding Layer: Turns (q, H) into state vector + optional quantum state
  • Policy & Q-Function Layer: Implements Q-function and policy (classical and quantum-inspired)
  • Reward & RL Update Layer: Computes reward and implements policy gradient / Q-learning update
  • Stability & Exploration Layer: Enforces convergence, stability, and exploration/exploitation invariants
  • Service Interface Layer: FastAPI / HTTP service providing endpoints
  • Telemetry & Guardrails Layer: Metrics and guardrails enforcing invariants
